Westenior Valmera

Biography

Westenior Valmera is a native of Haiti who graduated from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a master’s degree in Public Administration. Valmera has conducted research on the impact of political communication on Presidential elections outcomes in Haiti, as well as the impact of international sanctions on countries that rely substantially on imports. While completing his studies, he launched an educational non-profit in 2017 called HAITI-ED FOR KIDS to uplift the lives of children in Haiti. Currently, Valmera is now pursuing his Ph.D. in Political Science and his areas of interest include international relations, foreign policy, international political economy, and comparative politics.
