Biography
Born and raised in Medellin, Colombia, Pablo Duran attended the University of Medellin where he earned a degree in Law. After graduating from Law School, Mr. Duran worked several years as a legal advisor for Public and Governmental Bodies in Colombia and completed his specialization studies in Public Law at Santo Tomas University, writing the monograph “The Chicago School of Economics and its Influence on the Political Constitution of Colombia”. Mr. Duran entered the Political Science Ph.D. FIU in Fall 2016, and his research interests include the legal structure and engineering of political institutions, political violence and revolutions, the authoritarian rule, democratization, political parties, and elections and political participation.
