Research Interest

Mohammad Sayyadi is a Ph.D. student in political science in the Department of Politics and International Relations at Florida International University. He was formerly a visiting scholar at FIU in 2019. Mohammad does research in political economy and comparative politics focusing on the global south, especially the Middle East and Iran. His research digs into policies and mechanisms through which states reproduce corruption, monopoly, plunder, and rent-seeking. He has published in a number of academic journals including the Iranian Journal of Public Policy and the Quarterly Journal of Iranian Political Science Association.
