Melanie Perez

Research Interest

Melanie Rae Perez is a PhD student studying International Relations with a focus on foreign policy and international law. She is also the graduate assistant for the Office of Global Learning Initiatives where she helps mentor Global Learning students in addition to doing research alongside Dr. Hilary Landorf. With her fiery passion for knowledge and humanity, Melanie hopes to through her studies and research she can integrate her knowledge of religion and human rights to help communities and marginalized people all around the world. Outside of academia, Melanie enjoys yoga and wellness and is passionate about women’s empowerment and humanitarian work. Ms. Perez’ research interest include: Human Rights, Gender Equality, Peace and Conflict Studies, Religious Violence, and Gendered Based Violence
