Biography

Sara Moats holds a Ph.D. from West Virginia University. Her research focuses on American political institutions, interest groups, and international organizations. Specifically, she focuses on the interaction between domestic interest groups and the various levels of government both domestically and internationally. She teaches a variety of American politics courses at Florida International University, including American Federalism, the Legislative Process, Interest Group Politics, and Environmental Politics. Additionally, Dr. Moats is an online learning specialist. Her online classes have a high degree of interaction and offer students a traditional classroom experience from anywhere in the world.
