The Department of Politics & International Relations at the Steven J. Green School of International & Public Affairs prepares students to understand and address the complex political, social, and global challenges shaping our world. Combining the strengths of political science with a multidisciplinary approach to international relations, the department equips students with the knowledge, analytical skills, and global perspective needed to lead in government, diplomacy, public policy, international organizations and public service. The department's faculty and students engage in research on critical issues ranging from democracy and governance to international security, human rights, foreign policy, and global development.
