PIRGSO

The Politics and International Relations Graduate Students Organization (“PIRGSO”) is a student-run organization that represents and promotes the interests of the university's current graduate and professional student community of the Department of Politics & International Relations Department. It is our goal to provide graduate students in the Political Science and International Relations programs with the institutional capacity to organize events and conferences that are related to our field of study as well as career-related matters. Moreover, we envision this organization to facilitate discussions and engagement with all students with an interest in world politics. It is our hope to continue to promote and enable the building of a diverse and inclusive community of faculty and students. PIRGSO incorporates workshops, special events, and productivity sessions to stay in touch with peers and faculty.

PIRGSO is here to serve you. As a member of PIRGSO you are able to voice your concerns, provide insight and resources, and facilitate seemingly difficult discussions. Our representative positions on the Graduate Student Development Committee and the Diversity Equity and Inclusion Committee provides opportunities for us to present ideas, narratives, and updates to faculty as well as receiving feedback and insight regarding PIRGSO activities and department goals.
