Anjana Mishra is a Visiting Professor in the Department of Politics & International Relations. Her doctorate is on Indo-US Relations from the University of Lucknow, India. She was teaching at the University of Lucknow before relocating to Miami and joining Florida International University in 1998. Her research interests include issues related to Asian Indian diaspora and development studies. At FIU, the courses Dr. Mishra leads include: The International Relations of South Asia, Politics of Development and Underdevelopment, Introduction to International Relations, International Organizations, Politics of Western Europe, and Contemporary International Problems. She is the recipient of the Faculty Award for Excellence in Adj. Teaching (2018) and Faculty Choice Award, FIU Online (2017) Dr. Mishra is active in the community and is a member of Miami Dade County Asian Advisory Board, Secretary and Executive Board Member of Miami Association of Indian Americans for Culture And Arts (www.MAIACA.org) She is the winner of the Miami Foundation's Public Space Challenge 2019.
