Michael Wartenbe entered the IR PhD program at FIU in 2011. Prior to this he received a B.A. from University of Central Florida and an M.S. from Florida State University. Michael's research is within critical International Political Economy. He focuses on corporate power structures, neoliberalism, and trade associations. His dissertation is examining the role of the Motion Picture Association of America in organizing the film industry, political influence, industrial cooperation, and shaping international agreements.
