I am currently a Ph.D. candidate in International Relations. I earned a BA in International Relations and Spanish from Rollins College (2014). I have earned an MA in International Studies (2019) and an MA in Latin American and Caribbean Studies (2017) both from FIU. My major areas of research focus on international law particularly critical approaches to international law and narratives of international law. For my dissertation, I am focusing on the legal narratives of actions considered to be war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide. During my time at FIU, I have been the instructor of record for classes on international law and the law of the sea for the Department of Politics and International Relations. I have taught both online and in-person classes.
