I am a Ph.D. candidate in International Relations, majoring in Foreign Policy and Security Studies with a minor in International Political Economy. Currently I am reexamining the power-law distribution of armed conflict that was discovered by Lewis Fry Richardson in the 1920s, and retesting the more recent attempts by Lars-Erik Cederman, Neil F. Johnson, Jorge Restrepo, and others to explain this empirical regularity. I'm attempting to tie it to the distribution of material capabilities with the aim of giving it tangible relevance in a variety of strategic applications, ranging from political risk and conflict management to the formulation of national grand strategy.
